A MESSAGE FROM BM/ST JOSEPH AZZOPARDI ON INTRODUCED LEGISLATION TO REPEAL THE DAVIS-BACON ACT
Brothers & Sisters,
Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has introduced legislation to REPEAL the federal DAVIS–BACON ACT. This would in effect slash the wages of both union and non-union American construction workers.
As many of you know, this is the standard by which we all live to provide for our families.
In District Council 9 alone that’s over 26,000 people. I cannot stress how important this is for us to FIGHT this bill.
With the current administration in the White House, we CANNOT afford for this bill to pass into law. I, as well as the entire staff of DC9, will do everything we can on the national level to protect our families.
